Private tour

Naples in half a day, with a driver

Only a few hours and you want to see Naples from above, from the sea and from inside its alleys? By car you can: I take you to the viewpoints and drop you where it is best to walk.

In short

A half-day Naples tour with a driver (about 4 hours) covers the views from Posillipo and Vomero, the seafront with Castel dell’Ovo, Piazza del Plebiscito and the historic centre, which you visit on foot. It is designed for cruise passengers, travellers with a stopover or anyone who wants to get their bearings on day one. The itinerary adapts to your schedule and what you want to see.

A sample itinerary

  1. Posillipo: the panoramic road, with stops at viewpoints over the bay and Vesuvius.
  2. Seafront and Castel dell’Ovo: the castle on the sea and the Borgo Marinari.
  3. Piazza del Plebiscito and the Royal Palace: with the Galleria Umberto I and the Teatro San Carlo just steps away.
  4. Vomero: the view from Castel Sant’Elmo and the Certosa di San Martino.
  5. Historic centre on foot: Spaccanapoli, San Gregorio Armeno, the Cathedral. I drop you at the entrance and pick you up at the agreed exit.

Why by car

Naples is a city of hills and viewpoints far apart from each other: Posillipo, Vomero and the seafront can only be reached on foot with a lot of effort. By car you link them in minutes and still have time for the historic centre, which is best experienced on foot.

If you arrive on a cruise, I wait for you at the terminal exit and bring you back to the ship with time to spare.

Add these if you have a full day

  • Pompeii or Herculaneum, 20–30 minutes away.
  • Vesuvius, with your online ticket already bought.
  • Pizza, in the historic centre or on the seafront.

Frequently asked questions

How long is a Naples tour with a driver?

Usually about 4 hours; it can be extended to a full day.

Do you also act as a guide?

I am the driver: I tell you about the city as we drive, but for guided visits inside museums or sites you need a licensed guide.

Is it suitable for cruise passengers?

Yes: departure and return at the cruise terminal, with the plan built around the ship’s schedule.

Can you drive into the historic centre?

The historic centre is largely a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) and pedestrian area: you visit it on foot, and I drop you off and pick you up at its edge.
