Sant’Agnello villas and gardens by the sea
Right next to Sorrento but quieter, Sant’Agnello is a spread of citrus groves and clifftop villas, with some of the oldest hotels on the peninsula.

The village of gardens
Sant’Agnello takes its name from its patron saint, the abbot Agnellus. For centuries it was a cluster of farmhouses and citrus groves between Sorrento and Piano; then, with the Grand Tour, nobles and foreign travellers built villas overlooking the gulf.
Some of the oldest hotels on the Sorrento Peninsula were born here, in former convents and aristocratic residences.

The quieter side of Sorrento
Many travellers choose Sant’Agnello to stay in a hotel with a garden and walk down into Sorrento in a few minutes.
From the cliff, lifts and steps lead down to the sea and the small beaches of the Marinella.
